I received this book for my honest review. No type of royalties were given.

This is a short Horror story, from one of my favorite Authors. I don't want to say too much because I'm afraid it could spoil it for yourself to read and being surprised and/or taken off guard is part of the enjoyment of reading! Plus, this story is a short one. But, I will say this: this story is so good, that I literally had my mouth open in surprise, (and I didn't realise I had it like that at first. Lol), along with gripping my Kindle to the point, it creaked and I.could.NOT.WAIT. to get to the next line all the way through the story!! It was that gripping of an intense story!! Sal Conte better have his creative, writing behind at the drawing board thinking or writing up a sequel. Lol. There is only one small issue I had with this story: the main character had a fetish like thing with words that would throw me out of the story a little.

Overall, this is an excellent Horror story that I highly recommend. I canNOT wait for another short or any size story! By the way, if you haven't already read them, his other stories: The Toothache Man, Childs Play and the story he co-wrote with E. Van Lowe called The Secrets of Love and Death, are also good reads.

Enjoy this read! You'll be GREATLY surprised!!

Because We Told Her To eBook Sal Conte Camille Pollock Reviews

Great story. The girls hidden talent was Creapy but I think the best part was mom giving the 3 pointers and the third one was quite the revelation
A strange tale of two little girls with a real handle on the powers of persuasion.

A scary tale of the world today.
Really enjoyed this short story. It reminded me in a small way of the Twilight Zone episode "It's A Good Life," where an imaginative child is given God-like powers. Here, the terror is twofold as a pair of young sisters attempt to control their babysitter with the power of suggestion. A good, creepy story without excessive gore.
You know you are in for a ride when a little girl eerily says "let's play Twitter". Babysitting jobs are notoriously filled with opportunities for the weird and the unfamiliar. The twitter sisters will give you the creeps. I hope we see more of them.
The story grabs your attention at the start. I was ready to be drawn into a thriller and was quickly disappointed. I wanted to know more about Amaryllis and Hyacinth and what made them tick.
I liked everything about "Because We Told Her To" from the title, the length, a mere 13 pages, the suspense, and of course the story itself. Sal Conte certainly knows how to grab a reader's attention in the first few sentences and scare your socks off. The story is short enough that I could read it and still manage to watch a sitcom on TV to prevent the nightmare that was certain to follow had I gone to bed with images of the Twitter sisters in my head. Yes I scare easily and this short story had me checking my Twitter feed as I rebolted the doors and windows. I am looking forward, with dread and trepidation to reading Child's Play and The Toothache Man. I hear they are really good. Creepy scary good.
Sometimes there is a reason.

This short story pulls no punches. Because We Told Her To is a short, but horrific tale of two little girls with an unnatural gift of persuasion. Written in the first person, this story is a nightmare come to life. The horror in this story is what may happen next. The story isn't perfect, but it doesn't have to be given it's style. It is a solid introduction to some characters that I hope Sal Conte continues to run with. I would love to read more from the author.
